Chamber Music & The Day the Whores Came out to Play Tennis

Playwright: Arthur Kopit
Director: Matt Holland
Student Groups: Year II, Group II

Description

Two absurdist comedies by Arthur Kopit. Set in a 1930s mental institute, the women in Chamber Music devise a plan to thwart an attack from the men鈥檚 ward. Believing they are famous women from history, the characters raise questions about identity and self-perception in this dark comedy. In The Day the Whores Came Out to Play Tennis, wealthy, influential men gather to socialize at their country club. When a group of women break into the club and take over the tennis court, chaos ensues, and the status quo is challenged. Directed by Matt Holland and performed by the second-year students of the Professional Theatre Program at 星空传媒视频
