Virtual panel discussion on women鈥檚 empowerment May 21
In collaboration with the American Film Showcase and听Quebec High School,听听the U.S. Consulates General in Quebec City and Montreal are inviting you to take part in a virtual panel discussion on women鈥檚 empowerment,听focused on the legal field.听The discussion will take place on听Thursday, May 21st at 2:00pm. Participants are asked to watch the documentary film听Balancing the Scales听in preparation for this virtual program.
Balancing the Scales听follows Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, civil rights lawyer Gloria Allred and others as they share their experiences about gender equity by lawyer & filmmaker Sharon Rowen. Check out the film鈥檚 trailer below:
The panel will be held in English and moderated by a group of all-female professionals.听Panelists will center the discussion on the importance of achieving gender equality, and empowering women and girls in our society.听听
