Written by Colleen Murphy and directed by Micheline Chevrier, The December Man is presented by Imago Theatre and the Peace Centre. The play tells the story of  a young man who was an engineering student at École Polytechnique in 1989 and experienced survivor guilt. Through her play, Murphy reveals the ripple effects of public violence and PTSD on the everyday life of a working class family.

The presentation of the play, which won the 2007 Governor General’s Literary Award for English Language Drama, is meant to commemorate the lives lost at École Polytechnique. Counselling will be available at the event for anyone who needs it.

Proceeds will go to Chez Doris, an organization that supports women survivors of gender-based violence.

Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Theatre.
