Applications & nominations open for Forces AVENIR awards until Feb. 27
Up to $100,000 will be given out this year in the form of grants and project funding through Forces AVENIR awards.
Forces AVENIR awards recognize, honour and promote the commitment of students and staff in projects that contribute to the development of socially conscious, responsible, active and persevering citizens who are both dedicated to their community and open to the world.
Every year, the program awards $60,000 in grants and $40,000 in project funding in the following categories:
- Art, Literature and Culture
- Mutual Aid, Peace and Justice
- Social Economy, Entrepreneurship and Business
- Environment
- Health and Healthy Living
- Science and Technology
- Society, Communications and Education
- Committed Personality
- Persevering Personality
- Committed Staff Member
We are convinced that there are exceptional projects under way at Dawson and committed individuals among our students and colleagues. Or are you yourself a staff member whose commitment deserves to be highlighted?
We would therefore like to ask for your support in finding these hidden gems and promoting the Forces AVENIR Program in your classrooms. We believe that our teachers are in the best position to recommend potential candidates.
