In the wake of acts of racism and hate, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ÊÓƵ recommits to well-being for all

Communities around the world have been mobilizing against racism in recent days. This mobilization is a reaction to the most recent murder of another unarmed Black person.

On May 25, George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis by a police officer after saying he could not breathe and pleading for his life. Even though we are living through a pandemic, many people decided that the risk of contracting COVID-19 was less important than showing solidarity with Black, Indigenous, people of colour and other marginalized groups.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ÊÓƵ wishes to express our support for this struggle for justice and our desire to end systemic racism. Click Read More for the full statement.

Julie and Julie advise to keep up the health protocols

Even though the Quebec Government continues to open up the province, we all have to keep vigilant to protect the most vulnerable and to prevent a second wave of COVID-19 infections. College Nurses Julie Drolet and Julie Gosselin advise us to:

  • keep washing our hands properly and effectively
  • continue maintaining a two-metre distance from people outside our household
  • wear masks when we cannot maintain the two-metre distance and when entering closed public environments (e.g. grocery stores)
  • visit our friends and families outside and from a distance
