Update on Giving Tuesday

One more week until Dec. 3: Giving Tuesday.ÌýWe had aÌýterrific response last week but we still need more help:Ìý

  • Yvonne Dudley in Financial Aid says every day a new harvest appears. The end of the month means more students in need are coming. Check the needs list and keep dropping off donations at the Giving Tree near the Caf or at the office in 4E.2.
  • Janice HarveyÌý (jharvey@dawsoncollege.qc.ca)Ìý is trying to match as many as 30 kids in care of Batshaw for Christmas. To date, 14 people have committed to answering a letter to Santa. Can we make 16 more kids happy Christmas morning?
  • Gisela Frias received a gift of laptops and some donations but needs more for the Cuban community being assisted through the North-South Program. Check the needs list please.
  • $18,500 was distributed through theÌýÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Foundation to students at Awards Night. Help us replenish the Awards Fund:Ìý

New Purpose for your Tacky Mugs

Dawson uses enough disposable coffee cups to fill the Lower Atrium from floor to ceiling every year! Using reusable mugs can make a huge impact. However, the cafeteria's mug inventory has almost disappeared.

Your tacky mugs, Holiday mugs, ex-boyfriend mugs, worn-off graphics mugs, extravagant and over-the-top mugs can have a new life and purpose here. Please drop off yourÌý10 - 20 oz capacity mugs in the bins at the caf entrance. You can also return the dirty mugs sitting on your desk- no judgement and no questions asked! ;)Ìý
