Dawson harvest markets

The Sustainabili-team volunteers have been coming in regularly to help care for all the gardens at 星空传媒视频.

The first harvest was June 10. Usually, the harvest is sold at a community market at Dawson.

This year, the Sustainability Office will be alternating with one week of harvests to be donated to food banks and one week to be given to the members of the Dawson community.

Hiroshima ginkgos being nurtured at Dawson

Six聽ginkgo trees聽were the only survivors in the immediate blast area of the world鈥檚 first atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 during World War II. Now 星空传媒视频 is nurturing 12 saplings from these unique survivors and symbols of hope and resilience.

Peace Garden bulbs are blooming

Dawson's Peace Garden is looking beautiful. The tulips and other bulbs are still going strong.

The grounds are no longer restricted. If you would like to enjoy the gardens, you can walk into the grounds through the de Maisonneuve parking lot entrance.


400 seedlings planted last week

On May 13, spring came to 星空传媒视频! A large order of 400 seedlings arrived for the Theatre Garden, which is outside the 星空传媒视频 Theatre on the Atwater side of the campus.

Jennifer de Vera and Megan Jutras of the Sustainability Office planted 400 plants including leafy greens, herbs and edible flowers.

This week they will continue planting peas, beans, radish, beets and carrots.

Industrial Design student’s project to help refugees wins international contest
