Campus Recreation is free during Open House at Dawson's PARC, which takes place for two weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 12 and running through Friday, Sept. 23.

Make your appointment to donate blood Sept. 13-14

September 7th, 2022

Héma-Québec will be running a blood donor clinic at Dawson on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 13-14 in 3C.1.

It will be by appointment only. You can make an appointment online: or by calling 1-800-343-7264.

The objective is to get 60 donors and they are especially in need of O- and B- blood donors. Each donor can save several lives with only one donation and their body will quickly replenish their blood supply.

The Dawson Blues logo has been proudly worn by five decades of athletes at Dawson, some of whom went on to play at the national and international level, including the Olympics. It has just been refreshed.

Corn Roast this Friday 12- 4 p.m.

Campus Life and Leadership (Student Services) is hosting a Corn Roast for students this Friday, Sept. 9 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. outdoors on the Atwater side of the campus. All employees are welcome to attend during their lunch hour or break. There will be corn, hot dogs and drinks for $1 each for employees.

DAC (Dawson Activity Club) members enjoy a free lunch courtesy of DAC, which is open to all employees of Dawson. If you are interested in joining, write to Gianna Smith: ٳ󰪻岹ɲDzԳDZ𲵱.糦.

After an absence of two years, the revitalized Dawson golf tournament made a triumphant return on June 7 at the Summerlea Golf and Country Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion. About 1,800 students at Welcome Days

On Aug. 16-17, an estimated 1,800 new students participated in Welcome Days. This year, the dean’s welcome for the three broad areas of study took place in the Tony Proudfoot Gym.  The experience also included orientation sessions with program and profile coordinators, booths about various services at the College, self-guided tours and free ice cream outdoors.

“Thank you to everyone who was involved in the planning and implementation of Welcome Days! Your time and effort was very much appreciated,” said organizer Caroline Blouin, Coordinator of Student Services.

Another successful DCMUN season draws to an end

This year brought an exciting blend of in-person and online opportunities for the students in the ǿմýƵ Model United Nations (DCMUN). They have continued to offer students an enriching para-academic experience, whether they be online or in-person, and they found a sense of community and belonging in DCMUN.

Their Executive team supported delegates in a fall training program that culminated in a successful winter conference season. Delegations attend national and international conferences, as well as several CEGEP conferences. Their delegates earned awards at every conference this season.

More importantly, they were able to engage in debate, discussion, and collaboration with delegates from a variety of contexts to find solutions to real problems facing the world today.
