Golf and soccer players back in the game!

Great news! Sports are back! Our Div. 1 men's soccer team played Vanier College Sept. 18 and the Golf team played a college tournament on Sept. 19. Women's Div. 1 soccer plays against C茅gep Andr茅-Laurendeau this Friday and the co-ed baseball team plays John Abbott twice on Saturday. Many athletes are still only training while they look forward to playing games again.

Parents Night is Sept. 23

Parents Night is set for Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. and invitations to parents of first-year students have been sent.
Like most events at this time, it will be virtual.
This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about the College. There will be a presentation by the First-Year Students' Office and a chance to ask questions. If you need more information, contact the Communications Office.

Julie and Julie advise to keep up the health protocols

Even though the Quebec Government continues to open up the province, we all have to keep vigilant to protect the most vulnerable and to prevent a second wave of COVID-19 infections. College Nurses Julie Drolet and Julie Gosselin advise us to:
- keep washing our hands properly and effectively
- continue maintaining a two-metre distance from people outside our household
- wear masks when we cannot maintain the two-metre distance and when entering closed public environments (e.g. grocery stores)
- visit our friends and families outside and from a distance

We asked and the Dawson Community and friends of Dawson responded. The COVID-19 Student Financial Aid Fund has reached just shy of $5,000.
Special thanks to all who are participating in the led by Vincent Maggiore (Business Administration) and everyone who donated and shared the needs of our students on social media.
The full amount will be dedicated to the Dawson Financial Aid Program. Student Services and the Dawson Foundation are working on the details of how the funds will benefit students.
More news to come in the next few weeks!
