The first International Day of Mathematics (March 14) was celebrated at Dawson on Thursday.
Andreea Panait of Dawson's Mathematics Department reported: "We started the day with some wonders in Mathematics, then we moved to the history of Calculus and we ended with some applied math in creating interesting apps. To complete the day, we gave prizes for the math poster contest."
Students聽Sara Boubekri (pictured with Andreea) and Zaina Mahran were the winners.
Greta Hofmann Nemiroff, a pioneer in Women's Studies in Canada and at 星空传媒视频, was here March 6 for a panel discussion moderated by Pat Romano about Women's Studies.
