After two years of study, dedication and hard work through the COVID storm, we have now come to the end of the road, about to proudly show off the result.
Don't miss “HYBRID”, an exhibition featuring Dawson's AEC Commercial Photography graduates.
The exhibition will be presented in the Upper Atrium from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27 and you are invited to attend the Vernissage on May 24 at 6:30 p.m.

2022 Winner of the Liberal Arts Brick Books Poetry Prize

The Liberal Arts Brick Books Poetry Prize isawarded this year toCatherine Salkeldfor showing promise in poetry writing.
Catherine’s winning sonnet, “Hallowed Ground’’ will be published in the 2022 Liberal Arts Anthology. The prize, sponsored for the past eight years by Canadian poetry publisher Brick Books,will be awarded at the launch of the Anthology on May 12.

After Fuenteovejuna

The Professional Theatre Department at ǿմýƵ is proud to present After Fuenteovejuna, adapted by the third-year students with writer Sarah Lotfi and directed by Stéphane Zarov with Movement Direction by Mila Thé. Originally performed in 17th-century Spain, this classic theatre includes clowning, music, dance and storytelling. When the small town of Fuenteovejuna is terrorized by a military commander, the women of the town band together to seek revenge. This modern retelling includes music composted by third year students Reagan Prum, Brianna Rodrigues, Noah Moorcroft and Andréas Sandoval Chaidoullina
Content warnings: sexual assault, sexual violence, swearing. Wed May 4-Saturday May 7.
Entry fee for Dawson employees and students = $5.

Support Interior Design students for a chance to win hockey tickets

The Interior Design students are currently organizing a raffle to help raise funds for their final exhibition. You could win two hockey tickets to watch the Canadiens vs. the Panthers on April 29 at the Bell Centre. Situated in section 115, they have a value of over $500!
All the proceeds will go toward our end-of-year exhibition. This event allows students to showcase their final Interior Design project, after three years of very hard work. This event serves as an official introduction of these future designers to the design field. The event will take place on June 2, and is open to the public. You’re invited!
The raffle tickets are $10 each, or in a bundle of 3 for $25 or 5 for $45. You can visit our table in the Upper Atrium on April 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Alternatively, you can visit Helen in 2G.7 and purchase tickets before April 25. The winner will be announced on April 26, so buy your tickets while you still can!
