Tommy Diamantakos new Associate Dean of CAA

Tommy Diamantakos (Class of 2002, Cinema | Communications)聽is happy to be back at Dawson.

In July, Tommy began his new role as Associate Dean of Creative and Applied Arts working with Dean Andr茅a Cole to support teachers and students. We are working hard to ensure everything is in place for a smooth start, he said, and added: 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to see the students and teachers return to campus.鈥

Tommy is especially looking forward to the end of year activities and the Vernissage Season.

Prior to coming to Dawson, Tommy served as Coordinator of Continuing Education at Vanier College. Other experiences include working at Heritage College as Associate Academic Dean, and teaching English as a second language.

Meygan Brody is Dawson鈥檚 Valedictorian for the Class of 2021

Keynote Earth Week talk addressed struggles for environmental justice in Indigenous and Black communities

Join Montreal Kneels for Change Wednesday at 8:15 p.m.

Dawson graduate Denburk Reid聽(Class of 2000, Marketing and Management Technology) has organized Montreal Kneels for Change, a live event on Instagram on Feb. 24. The goals are to raise awareness of local social justice issues, honour the life of Sheffield Matthews and denounce the injustices committed against Mamadi III Fara Camara.

鈥淎s a community, we must come together and demonstrate our solidarity,鈥 Denburk said.

We are invited to:

  • join the Instagram Live event on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 8:15 p.m.
  • take a photo standing with your hand on your heart
  • share the photo on your social media using聽the hashtag #kneelsforchange and 迟补驳听蔼尘迟濒冲肠辞尘尘耻苍颈迟测冲肠补谤别蝉.

Communications Coordinator appointed

Communications professional Megan Ainscow joined 星空传媒视频 last week as Coordinator of Communications. Megan (Class of 2004, Liberal Arts) will oversee the Communications Office and guide overall strategy and decision making in order to enhance the reputation and visibility of the College.

With over 10 years of experience in communications and public relations, Megan joins Dawson after serving most recently as Head of Communications for the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, an international organization established under the North American Free Trade Agreement.
