Workshops
To sign up for a workshop set:
- go to Omnivox – under “Student Services”-choose – “Career Resource Centre Workshops”.
- If you’re on a mobile device, open Omnivox app- go to “Services” tab- scroll down and open the “Omnivox web version”- then look under “Student Services”-choose “Career Resource Centre Workshops”.
These workshops are specifically designed for students who are unsure of what they would like to do in the future. We encourage first year students to attend the two-session workshops first, before making an appointment with us.
Please note, that workshops are two sessions, each an hour and a half long with time reserved for questions at the end.
Session #1- Career 101
This workshop goes over basic education pathways, career development process and other tidbits pertaining to career. We will also provide an assessment (Self-Directed Search (SDS)) for students to complete on their own time.
Session #2- Career Planning
This workshop goes over your results from the SDS and different career resources that can be used to help identify aspects of the self, matching occupations, education pathways, etc.
To sign up for a workshop set, click on the dates that best fits your schedule. The second workshop is the following week on the same day and time as the first one. We ask that you attend聽both workshops in consecutive order.
